YOUTUBE TO GEMINI NOTEBOOK

Bring entire/bulk YouTube channels, playlists, and videos into Gemini Notebook

Paste your links to prepare transcripts for your notebook. Choose how many videos to include, then export the text and add it as sources.

TIP: You can also paste multiple video links at once, separated by spaces.

Auto picks available captions for each video. Selecting a language does not translate captions.

From YouTube collection to notebook sources

  1. Collect the transcripts. Paste a channel, playlist, or multiple video links above. Process up to 100 videos per collection per request, subject to available credits and captions.
  2. Export your results. Download a combined Markdown or plaintext file, or a ZIP of separate transcripts. Extract the ZIP before uploading individual files.
  3. Add them to Gemini Notebook. Open your notebook, choose Add sources, and upload the text or Markdown files. You can also paste transcript text. Split large collections to fit your notebook's source limits.
  4. Ask questions across your sources. Compare explanations, pull out key ideas, or build study notes using the transcripts you've added.

Gemini Notebook supports text and Markdown sources. See Google's source import guide for supported formats and current limits.

Build a notebook around a subject

Study a lecture playlist

Keep explanations from a course together and ask your notebook to compare concepts across lectures.

Research a creator's channel

Compare different perspectives

Combine selected videos from different creators into sources for one research project.

Before you import

Can I import an entire channel?

Paste the channel URL and choose a video limit. Each request supports up to 100 videos from the channel's Videos tab; Shorts and live-stream tabs are excluded. Large channels may exceed this limit. Use selected video URLs for additional batches, avoiding videos you've already processed.

Does ProClipper upload directly to my notebook?

You download the transcripts from ProClipper and upload them to Gemini Notebook yourself. No Google account connection is needed to extract transcripts here.

Which format should I choose?

Markdown keeps readable structure; plaintext is a simple text option. Use one combined file for a collection or separate files when you want each video to be its own source. Optional timestamps help you return to the original video.

What does extraction cost?

New visitors start with 15 free transcript credits. Each video checked costs one credit, including videos without available captions; processing errors are refunded. Downloads use no additional credits. View credit packs.
